KYC and importer codes: what Iraqi buyers need on the invoice
Passport, importer code, tax id and a verified address — the customer fields that keep a Dubai-to-Iraq shipment moving.
Most delays we see at the Iraqi border are not about the gold. They are about the consignee record: a passport number that expired, an importer code typed from memory, a trading name that differs from the licence.
The minimum customer record
- Registered company name exactly as on the trade licence
- Contact person and passport number with expiry date
- Importer code issued by the General Commission of Customs
- Tax identification number where the buyer is VAT registered
- Physical address, city and country
Keep KYC status visible
